Physical ( feeding, bathing, light housework), practical (shopping, doctor appointments) and moral support (listening, encouragement, validation of mental stresses of the patient and the family members) are provided seamlessly. This group made it possible for a woman in her later 90's with dementia to remain in her home throughout her declining years. This client had been a well educated, independent and capable person. One of the biggest challenges which one faces in life is recognizing it's nearing end and adjusting to it.
